"Strange Days on Planet Earth"
Part 4
The Earth's surface is covered by 70% of the ocean's water.Plankton's are one of the smallest animals that feed by algae.Global Warming was not the cause that Plankton would disappear,but it was because the warmer the water gets,the less plankton there are.When the water is warm it makes it harder for the animals to survive.If the crab dies then the predator that eats the crab gets affected too by not having what to eat.We are all interconnected by each other like if you put something in the Earth then the person gets affected.These coral reefs are having diseases too because they are have less color and less fish in it.Dust is causing for this disease happen.More and more dust is being swept away into the air to the America's.The Pathogens is making for the corals be in disease.The Earth's rise is affecting the atmosphere.This affects the dust to be spread more.That means that we are getting the Earth to be warmer because too much CO2 is being released by many gases.If people would start not using too much gases meaning the transportation,it can make a difference by decreasing the climate disasters.
Part 5
The ocean is rising,so that means that some animals are there and when they stay more than 2 days they will die and that also mean that the animals are going to starve from food.There has been more changes because people are seeing new transformations of plants and animals in Lake Guri,Venezuela.Before the flood,Lake Guri had a lot of predators and a lot of plants.Now it's quiet.On Iguana Island there are many reptiles and monkeys packed where they can't fit.The ants,the monkeys,and the reptiles are being destructive because more predators are being dead because of the flood and more prey come.If they kill predators then more herbivores are coming and some are causing for diseases.Predators are dangerous,but we do need them.The vegetation that animals need is not there and they need it to survive without it,they don't have anything.There are less animals,but trees are not there either.Trees in Yellowstone are disappearing and researchers are figuring out what was causing these trees to disappear.The Aspen Trees are not generating since then.Wolves are disappearing too because they see that they killing them because this was the predator.Since the wolves are being killed Elks are now living.Beavers are living too because now they can build their dam and they make the water be filled with nutrients.There are also predators in the ocean like the shark.The coral Reefs are dying from suffocating.Only the part of the top is alive and the bottom layer there are skeletons.The algae has been taking over the coral reefs which makes the coral harder for them to grow.90% of the fish are gone.There are many spots in the ocean that are empty and those empty spots are now spreading.Fishermen are having trouble finding he fish because there are no fish and sometimes they said that it will take them sometimes a day.Other times they lose their sight and wont come back.Some fish have tripled their reserves.With that,fishermen are starting to catch bigger fish.When they put them onto the reserves they have a better chance of living.Some predators are in cages,but find their way out.We do need predators too.
Part 6
The Leopard Frog is not the only one in trouble because other frogs have flourished over years.These frogs might look healthy,but they have eggs inside. Atrozine is killing the frogs.The frogs that he got,are mostly from the waters that have in Atrizine.Most of the frogs that live in pure water are the ones that are healthy.The males are the ones that are living in waters that have Atrizines in.Larger dosis are the ones who are safe.Atrizine can harm animals.Water doesn't stay put.Water has worked into rivers.The whales are known as the canaries of the seas because of their voice and those are called Beluga Whales.The Beluga Whales are the ones that have the highest cancer.The Beluga Whales are being contaminated by some chemicals that nobody knows and these can be hurting the Beluga's skin or they might be just eating something.Some fish are being contaminated by mercury.90% are the fish that are being contaminated.They get contaminated by eating other prey.Some plants have control of not getting contaminated.Bacteria was processed by mercury.He succeeded on getting mercury get eaten by plants.Many of these Synthetic chemicals get runned of many rivers.The Great Barrier Reef has the extraordinary corals.There has been outbreaks in the corals because there are crowns of thorns that are eating it and that they are killing it.More starfish larvae can survive by the nitrogen.There has been runoff that's is really affecting The Great Barrier Reef.Not nearly enough to reach the chemicals water.Some people are helping for the chemicals not get into the water.Some researchers are being worried because sharks,whales,and other ones have toxins in their tiles.The mola mola has toxins in eat that nobody knows what are the toxins that they have because they are always away from the reef.They have chemicals in it that researchers are tracking them with a device to see what chemicals they have inside of them.By their things or characteristics,they are giving their message of the water,the environment,and how the animals and plants are living.

Part 1
There has been global changes that have been going around the Earth.Researchers are finding species like plants and animals to be where they are not supposed to be.Researchers are using Rapid Assessment which means that they are seeing that new species come in every day.The alien species are spreading diseases,devouring the buildings.Every day there are more alien arrival.In New Orleans,termites are eating some of the houses which some of the houses are destroyed,so they are basically eating up and down.They are sticking in to the walls,so they are building more colonies.They all share the food.
Part 2
If one population dies from the species,then the other population that is the prey will increase.Weevils are useful other fisherman because there was a plant that they had a great impact called the Hyacinth.Other species are invading other places like tree snake or the killer bees.Erosion has been washing away,so living species in the water can have no sunlight into the ocean.These leaves that are called aconia can be really dangerous for Hawaii because it can be a landslide,even though it looks like it is pretty.
Part 3
7,000 thousand species are in motion.Researchers are finding out what the species are coming in that live in the ocean.In San Francisco there are more species coming from other places.Big animals transported small animals.Now that we have transportation and that includes cars,planes,and buses are now moving everywhere,then there would be less species.We have been taking plants ans animals with us.There has been climate change around.We have increased the Earth's temperature because of the gases that we are using.This problem has huge effect on the Earth and the species.The temperature has been increased by 11 degrees.60,000 animals vanished away that's because of the rising temperature.Without these animals we wouldn't be here,so we need every animal.When it's winter,it makes the Karibu be in trouble from the predators like the wolves.Those people in the world are only thinking of themselves and about their family and they are surviving.Some people don't even know what to do because CO2 has been increasing more and that can be threating to many species,so that's a global problem.

The Age Of Stupid
I really liked the movie because they are explaining why is the world been changing.Like for example,Global Warming is affecting to the Glaciers because they are melting down and for the people is sad because they are seeing how the world is changing.They were also talking about how Oil is the main problem of why the world is changing.Some of these people don't know about these things,but the groceries that we buy are from oil because the food needs to be transported because that's what trucks need,they need oil to run.Nigeria which is in Africa that country is very poor because of the oil that is killing off the fish and instead of having a lot of fish,they have little because they are already polluted.A company named Shell,wanted to make a company there,but people from there,they didn't want them to put one.The military came and started shooting people and some of these people hided on the forest which they didn't even eat a whole week.When they were thirsty they would drink of water that had been dirty,and some of these women that had hidden were pregnant and because they had been drinking that dirty water their children died.I think that oil is the main cause for having too much disasters around the world especially for the species that live on the water.Some people don't even know about why these disasters happen.The people of Nigeria want to have the kind of life that America has because they want things that we want like bedrooms for example.There was also a Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans,so it destroyed many of the things they had.Some people were talking about having wind farms,but people did not agree with the idea.Some people protested because it blocked their view,but that doesn't make any sense.Other people in other places protest too because they wanted to double the tunnel,but other people disagreed and they got onto the street and didn't want any transportation like trucks,but that wasn't enough.Still people disagree in many things.I really liked this video it tells so much how is the world changing even more.

Coral Reef Adventure

The movie about the Coral Reefs was basically about the Coral Reefs why are they endangered,what are they,and what is causing it to be in danger.Coral Reefs are made from tiny organisms,which they are found in the South Pacific.Even though they look like just plain coral reefs that don't do anything,they are also beneficial or help us with things.They are beneficial because they restore health,provide fish,they have chemical compounds which they are produced for the chronic pain,people rely on food,they give medical cures,and they protect the land from the violent seas.Coral Reefs are endangered and the reasons why they are endangered is because of Ocean Warming and for cutting down forests,but the main cause is for Ocean Warming.The reason why coral reefs are affected because cutting down forests is because,the dirt or the silk from the trees fall off when a forest is cut.There are these kind of trees that prevent from the silk to not move,and these are called mangoes.The Coral Reefs have lived over 60,000,000 years of existence.Coral Reefs are pretty because they sway like flowers,all corals are animals.One of the interesting fact that I think was interesting was that the Great Barrier Reef is one of the largest of them all.The fish also protect the corals from the seaweeds.Corals basically eat algae and it's one of the most important things to the coral.People that go diving underwater also get affected by the bends because when they go deeper in the ocean,there's a short amount of oxygen if you go deeper and darker into it.Corals are also beneficial to animals like for example,the octopus.Since crabs most of the time live on corals,the octopus main source of food is the crab.Without the crab,the octopus will starve to death and have a short amount of energy.Corals are white when they starve for not eating algae for a long period of time.For this not to happen we can also help prevent Coral Reefs from being destroyed by not cutting a great amount of trees because the dirt will fall and then go into the water.Coral Reefs are beneficial to any kind of living thing in the world.

Saving Species Of Planet Earth



Some people are getting the adaptation to not care of what what happens to the wildlife in many places.Some animals are endangered already.The majority of them are the leopards,since there are only 30 species left around the world.Some of the reasons they are being endangered is because poachers are poaching other animals,and because of the loss of their habitat.Polar Bears are very rare because they are chasing after the walruses and because they are very endangered because ice caps are being melted,so now Polar Bears are in danger because if that keeps on happening,then they will probably die because of too much water.There is maybe scarce of animals because they said in the video that the Golden Frog is now extinct and they had also said that the Forests Elephants are smaller in population than the Savannah Elephants too.Well the animals that are endangered now maybe they are aprehended because too many of their species are now disappearing.Many people use conservation to help many of the species in the rainforest because it's not like we need the elephant most,but we need all of them species because every single of them have an important thing in themselves.The animals need sustainable living because if they don't have it they will die from not eating anything that they are used to eating.There are many things that are natural resources and we want to use them properly because in now days this world is changing,so quick that people don't know what's happening to it.The human population has been changed too because not many people care about something that it's really important and that we have to do something about because animals don't get count off,they also help us,so it's not really fair that animals do something for us,and we don't do something for them. It's time for us to make a difference in some places,and because it's our Earth,and the only one that we are ever going to have,we need to take care of it.Lets make a difference around the world!

1. My thoughts about the documentary,it was kind of scary because when I started seeing it,and you know what's happening in the world because of Global Warming,they tell you things that I wouldn't even imagine.I also liked it because mainly you are being like informed of what this man is telling us and why does this happen.It was really good to watch it because many people don't know what's happening if we are just causing this Global Warming.
2. What I think about Global Warming is that we should protect our Earth,so Global Warming wont cause disasters and wont kill us because there's a lot of heat.I really think that if we are going to prevent Global Warming to not cause any damages,we are helping our Earth to be more clean and be in a a secure environment.
3. The information that I heard from the documentary was like I said scary,but with a lot of information that will help us see and learn what is going on with Global Warming outside of our world.With that Information we can make changes to our world.
4. What we can make to prevent this destruction is to inform people and tell them what is going on outside of our world,so they can know how Global Warming can be dangerous,and if we just give up on our world,then Global Warming is going to continue on and on because every time we use chemical gases we are increasing Global Warming.I think that we gcan make a difference if we change our world.

-The Red Hills-
This picture was taken in August 31,2010 in the red hills.The motor was designed mainly for flight.I really liked the picture because you can see clearly that it is mainly for flight and for being fast.You can see the smoke coming out and the fire because of its powerfull strength!
This picture also inspires me because it helps me know what I want to be when I grow up which I'm planning to be a meteorologist or a cosmeotology anyway it really helps me what I want to be in the future.

Science Games

I noticed that the Explore Gravity game had lots to do with Gravity like when you do it the Normal Mode when you compare by the big ball and the little ball,they go down equal,but when you do the feather and the ball which ever the feather takes longer to land on the ground.When you do the vacuum mode nothing changes they are both equal.The thing that I liked about it is that the old man is funnt.The coll thing about it is that they change modes.I learned how gravity is changed easily.When I played the game Bullseye I noticed that when you adjusted the force it goes really fast especially when you are putting the bow up it goes straight down.The thing that I liked is that there's like details in it.The cool thing about it is that the bow makes an angle and goes then down.I learned how when you put the bow up it goes down and when you put it straight it goes really slow.The thing that I liked the most is that you are saving trees.The cool thing about it is that you are preventing deforestation which is bad for nature because we need trees.I learned not to kill trees.

What Have I Thought About Technology

The things that I have learned about Technology?Well,I really have learned so much things in here because they really gave me some attention for me to get to learn the things for me to understand them.Even though I really struggled through many times,like the final presentation for our game,it was really hard for me and for my teammates to stand in front of the class and show what our game is about,and even though we didn't win,I am so proud for my team that no matter if we were scared,we stand ed up and did what we had to do because the best thing of presenting in front of a crowd it's not to just say what you are going to say,it's how your feelings and your heart put into it,and even though some of us were a little scared,we had putted our hearts and our effort so our game will be successful!Another thing that I struggled with,is putting our game together.I mean it was easy,but for my other teammates it was really hard for them to adapt to their new game which they chose mines because they voted on mines,but you know they took my game,and me as a captain for me I really thought that they really did their best not just because they are my team,because they followed my instructions and because they are a really good team to me!Well,not only Technology has been my favorite class,I like them all because they really gave me strength in our TAKS test every teacher inspired me that I am a great student and I can get to anywhere with the attitude that I have!I really have enjoyed every teacher some are funny and some are clumsy,no matter what emotion they have they are like the best teachers that I had in my entire life.For me this school,this is the school that I have to be in because they had showed me that I am a star student!I hope that my mom agrees on bringing me to this school because I really have enjoyed it! Cinco De Mayo

I don't really feel anything because I don't celebrate it,but I do feel that some people do feel about it,and I think that they feel like happy because they can celebrate this fun celebration with their family and have fun watching the dancers dance the "Ballet Of Folklorico."I think that my family doesn't feel nothing except my cousin and my other aunt because they celebrate everything and I think that they have fun too with it,and the way they celebrate it is that they go to a party and then see like dancers,but the thing that they like to do when it's Cinco De Mayo is to eat there!Well,sometimes when it's Cinco De Mayo they dance too with each other now that my cousins are big and mature enough to dance in front of the people.The way that I feel about the presentation yesterday is that the lady that talked had enough details to explain how Cinco De Mayo came to be a celebration for everyone especially for the Chicanos.The two ladies that spoke to the public,were really expressive and they were really funny sometimes,but anyways they did a good job explaining it,although they had trouble remembering some of the English words they did an awesome job explaining what is Cinco De Mayo.I don't really ask anything to my mom or my grandparents about Cinco De Mayo because my family that lives with me doesn't celebrate it,but I can tell you that my aunt does celebrate it with their family,but don't really ask them about that.I don't really think that any of my relatives were there at the Battle Of Puebla or La Batalla De Puebla,but if there were any of my relatives that were in the war I 'll tell him that how did it start if he had met any of the presidents like Benito Juarez and Napoleon the third,or General Ignacio Zaragoza,I would've really liked if one of my relatives were really on the war between the French and the Mexican Army.I think that the French who attacked the Mexican Army and invaded the Mexico I think it did affect to Mexico because they killed many people and no one had gotten left except the ones that got hurt,so I think that they were cruel of them for invading Mexico and the Mexican Army.Even though they didn't won the war,they still invaded Mexico which I didn't like what they did,but still only Mexico had won the war between the French.I think that they are really poor there it depends if they work or not,but having children and don't have a job is a really big situation because they need to get food and if they don't they will both die even the one with no job,so I really think that Mexico is dealing with poverty the most.That's what I think about Cinco De Mayo.

Global warming is caused by several causes such as pollution from factories, carbon dioxide from rotting trees, the burning of coal, natural gasses and fossil fuels lead to methane travelling into the Earth's atmosphere any transportation vehicles, water vapour, and many other little things, which contribute to make global warming even worse.Global Warming is when the Earth heats up (the temperature rises).It happens when greenhouse gases,carbon dioxide,water vapor,nitrous oxide,and methane trap heat and light from the sun in the Earth's atmosphere,which increases the temperature.This hurts to us,plants,and animals.Since they can't stand it very much they die.I think that it will affect us by the weather and the Earth's natural resources. Climate refers to the overall weather of a location over a long period of time. Climate and climate change is determined by many things including distance from the equator, closeness to an ocean or major body of water, and geographical conditions such as mountains, plains and forests.The Earth’s climate is influenced by many factors, mainly by the amount of energy coming from the sun, but also by factors such as the amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, and the properties of the Earth’s surface, which determine how much of this solar energy is retained or reflected back to space.I think that it will affect us by the increasing of temperature.Smog hanging over cities is the most familiar and obvious form of air pollution. But there are different kinds of pollution—some visible, some invisible—that contribute to global warming. Generally any substance that people introduce into the atmosphere that has damaging effects on living things and the environment is considered air pollution.I think that Air pollution is bad for the other living things because Air Pollution is harmful to the other things because they might die like for example smog.Smog is bad for them to breathe.The most important fact about Air Pollution that causes it is man-made.It will affect us by the causing of respiratory lungs and it might even be bad for animals and plants too.They like use petroleum and burn the fossil fuels,and make buildings,and use a lot of gasoline.Ground Pollution is a type of pollution which occurs when groundwater is contaminated.Construction site work and repair maintenance have become pollution activities.It can affect the Earth by the animals because animals that live under it may die because they have putted a lot of trash in it.Water Conservation refers to reducing the usage of water and recycling of waste water for different purposes such as cleaning.The way we can conserve water is by turning the water off when brushing our teeth,when we take a bath to not waste it at least you have to be in there like for 5 minutes.There are many ways to conserve water,but I think that those are the most important facts about conserving water.I don't think that water conservation affect us because we are conserving it and that is good because we are getting to the point where we can make a diference.I think that it is good to be educated in these topics because I think that it is warning us about that we have to take care of it and if we pollute the world I think that it will vanish if we don't take care of it.The topic that I liked the most is Water Conservation because it talks about the ways that we can conserve it and how we can protect it.The things that we can make to make a difference is by not polluting it,and to not use many natural resources because some of them are water,trees,and the airm,so together we can make a difference if we save our Earth!

Flash

I think that Flash was pretty easy because it was really fun,but the hard thing was about the timeline and the properties tab.I think that was the hardest thing.The way I feel about Flash is that I think I'm learning more of it and I'm getting better to know it.I think that we all did a good job with it because we tried our best of answering Ms.Miller's questions,and that makes our minds get an idea if we have memorized the steps and what do we need to do in each kind of demo.We have learned so much of it that I think that the only thing that we have left is to get through it and finish it for once because we have other team pages to finish and we want our game to be perfect.It's also based by Flash because our game needs sound,animation,and navigation and all those different kinds of things that we can add to.We can do better if we can practice it more than usual,but since Ms.Miller has not comed to school,it's really hard for us to get into the idea on what to do next and that will make us forget what we have done.The thing that I'm real comfortable with,is the navigation because that's the easiest thing with Flash I think that if we tried to talk less,Ms.Miller would not be that mad with us,so I think that we have to act mature for our game to be spectacular!That's what I feel about Flash.

This topic was about adding navigation and it consisted of 2 things:adding screens,and putting stops in.I really had a fun time with it because I had learned of it last time so I think it was really easy for me because I had memorized the steps and how to do them.Since I did learn much of it I think that we all did great with it because everybody was like getting into the point where we had memorized them not perfect,but some of us were really getting it.It was really easy for me since I did it right the first time.I think that we had done much better with it because the last time we didn't know nothing much of it and that made us be not focused because of the talking and stuff,but know that we are learning much of it and we are mature enough and we are about to be seventh graders,we are learning more stuff that we didn't know in other schools,so now that we have a big opportunity to improve our grades,we are more likely to pass to seventh grade.I want to learn about the video of adding the motion and the sound to our game because that will make our game be more creative and that will improve our grade when we had finished with our game and that will be like when we had putted all the information and the details together and that will make our game be super great!Actually I just wanted the sound one because we have not yet discussed good about what sound we will add,so I think that Sound will be good to our game and into our grade.When we have done all those stuff to our game,that's when we will have ur game completed and for the others to play it.Here is a video on how to do the Sound.Even though we haven't done a good job on discussing it together,we have done much better on be more focused and not to talk too much like before,since I'm the Team Captain.

How Do I Feel About Flash

The way I feel about Flash is that I'm getting better at it now that we go there often.I don't think that Flash is hard because we have learned so many things from it,so I don't really think that it has become harder.I don't really think that it would help me with it because Ms.Miller usually explains it better than a piece of paper,I think that explaining it will help me and my team get through our game scenes that we are creating.Anyways,I do really like when they explain it because they explain it in a different way that makes my team and me understand better than just following the paper around,I think that explaining it to us,will make our game scenes be cool when our game is created.When you sometimes have trouble with the paper and you totally don't know how to do it because it doesn't have enough details,I tell others to help me understand this things that is so complicated it for me to understand it,so I really think that explaining it to me and to my team,will make a big difference because that will make our scenes successful!I really think that before we get into the cool stuff,I have to practice Flash more because what if I forget something important,and the teacher tell us to do it by ourselves and basically I think that the timeline is what throws me off because you have to 6 it and all that stuff when you do all those layers,but it's really easy when you pay attention and listen to the teacher instead of talking,and that might even help you in the future!I really think that before I do the fun part of our game,I think that I need to practice even more with Flash!I think that me and my team will make a successfully game if we do listen to Flash and if we stay focused every time,so I do believe in my team that we will make a big game,since it is about Teen Pregnancy.I hope to learn more about Flash for our game scenes to work for our game that we will plan!

My Progress Working On Flash

The only thing that is hard for me is you know where the timeline is,well that's where I get all my mind confused well,I'm really working on that for me to understand it better and to not ask Ms.Miller again that I don't get this,or that my timeline is messed up.I think that if it would've been quieter,I would've understand it better with the timeline,so we really need to work on that, so we wont ask Ms.Miller that we should already known.I think that it is really important to remember the coding because if Ms.Miller isn't here and we have to do Flash with another teacher,and the teacher doesn't know,then we will have to do it by ourselves,but if we do remember all that coding then we wont have too much difficulties with it.I mean it's not that hard to remember all those codes all you have to do it practice and then memorize them,so you wont be all that lost and behind.I don't think that Flash is hard it's only the timeline that worries me too much because on March 24,2010,I really had a difficult time fixing my timeline because I thought that my timeline was messed up,but the thing was that,I wasn't paying too much attention that's where I got really lost,well,I do really need more practice with it.I do really agree that talking did distract me from paying attention,so it's really clearly that we do really really need to work on,on being quiet when the teacher is talking.The reason that I said yes to that question is because,others are trying to pass this class and get good grades so that we can go to where there are games,so I don't really think that it is fair to the others that are trying to learn while others are talking.I think it does help me because it shows you how to do the things better and it really has the name "FLASH TUTORIALS" so it's really nice of Ms.Miller let us watch the video first so we can see what we need to do and then try to do it.It's really helping me a lot with my progress.Since I said yes for question #5,I don't really think that GLOBALORIA needs to improve more because it shows all of the details that we need to do in Flash.The ways that I can make myself for me to understand Flash better is to pay more close attention in what the teacher is talking about and what to do.The main reason that I get lost is because everybody is talking at the same time and that makes it harder for me and for the others to learn and pay attention on what she is telling us to do.I really feel comfortable with Flash because it's really easy for me,except the timeline well,you know that I have to practice more on that,but I do feel good with the other stuff.I think it will help me in the future because what if I want to become lets say,a Flash Expert.I want to be good at it and I don't want to make errors.That's the reason that it will help me in the future.Those are my feelings of Flash.

What I'm going to do for Spring Break

The things that I'm going to do during Spring Break are,well first of all,Monday I'm going to work with my mom a place called,"Fonda San Miguel" it's mostly a restaurant were people eat and have other people sing to them for them to have a relaxing day.When I enter there,I meet adult friends and their names are Willie,and Angel in Spanish.When we have done greeting them,I help my mom make ice creams for her not to work on Tuesday.When we have finished with that for about 2:00,we pick up my grandma and we go back home since my brother has Spring Break too!I'm not really sure what I am going to do I think I'll just get sleep because this time of the year is when I have to get serious because,we have TAKS test in April 27th and the 29th,so I'm really worried about that,but no worries because I'm getting the extra tutoring that I need that has to be required and that makes my head and myself to be smart enough to pass the Taks test.I really watch my favorite novelas they are programs that are in Spanish even though they are not being serious.I like to watch my favorite channel that is called CW4KIDS because it's about sonic and yugioh,and all those kinds of cartoons that are in these days.That's one of the things that I like the most because I like to eat at the couch and watch TV.Well,I think that's about it what I am going to do during Spring Break!

Field Day

On Field Day we were doing activities that were so fun that Ms.Penticuff made a game of throwing Pies at her,but we could only throw a pie at her if we answered a question correctly of RADIUS,DIAMETER,and CIRCUMFERENCE.Well,it wasn't that easy to answer the questions.Well anyways,I really really had a fun day because the teachers and the principal were so kind to us because I don't think if we had gone to another school,we wouldn't have all that fun and wont have all those activities to play,that's why I think that they were so kind to us to make this a fun day!There were some problems that caused a lot of trouble,and for that reason we went inside because some students were really bad in the day and they think that it is fun for them to do those things,but I can tell them that they are wrong because some students think that it is funny to break the rules,but I think that it's not really fair.Why?Because the teachers thought really hard of going home with a fun day and have SPRING BREAK for us to not get a boring day doing work all day,but the teachers might notice that we can't handle it with having fun.Besides that,I think that everyone was having more fun on playing football and throwing Ms.Penticuff a cake at her face!I really had fun in the station of playing football,since I don't how to play football or catch it,but I tried my best and i did it good!That was like in the middle of the day and I think that we could've done it better if we had behaved better.Anyways,I did enjoy the day with my friends!

The Visit From Shannon Sullivan From Globaloria

What I learned from her visit was when she tells us to tell her something,we should do it,especially when we are shy to speak up to the others.The thing that surprised me was that she is really caring for our game on how it's supposed to be like really perfect,well,not perfect,but it has to show Math into it that's why I think she is really caring with people and I think whenever someone is really sad,she can help the person to be cheered up!Her instruction was to introduce ourselves as a team so when she comes back,she will know us as a team.The other instruction was to look at the examples at the school at Sandy River School,so we can have an idea of the 8th graders putting Math into our game.My Team named Flash,did a really good job on answering questions that Ms.Miller gave us to answer.An example of a question that she gave us to answer was "What is one thing that you liked about the team that you read about?"Well,we answered about the flash things when you click on it it flashes.We answered them good and Ms.Miller gave us a 100 for paying good attention to the team that made that page that it looked so perfect.The way I feel about Flash is that I know more about it how to update our files in another way so nobody can mess with it and to not erase it.The way I feel about changing a FLA to a SWF is that it will help me a lot because I will not ask help for the teacher because Ms.Miller showed me another way to do it much more easier than the other one.The way it could help me in the future is if I want to DRAW INN FLASH one time I will know how to save my files in my DESKTOP so I wont have a difficulty doing it.That's the way I feel about Flash and the visit of Shannon.

Team Progress

Our team is really starting to get along because they really know the consequences of the teacher for not getting along,and they usually work as a team and my teams name is Team Flash and we did like that team name because we are really going to work on Flash.They get along because we usually work together all the time for our game to be prepared.There are still some unresolved issues and it's one of my teammates and their names are Erik and Chris O..Well the problem with Erik is that he talks too much during instruction and really distracts other people for them to finish their game and be as well the others,we are still working on that issue.The other issue is with Chris F.because he is usually like talks to the other people and really gets annoying with him and he really gets off task and then doesn't want to do the work and doesn't want to help.We are still working on that issue.Actually my team does help me a lot with the assignments when it comes for them to do their part.They usually help me too with the questions like for example when it was March 8,2010 with the lady that was named Ms.Shannon and they helped me with the questions that she asked me since I'm Team Captain.The thing that I don't like is that they are always going away and don't know what's going on.Our game is really going pretty well because now that we are in groups,the stuff of last semester is not that hard like we know have team roles and someone that can help us with it.My topic was better because last semester I presented my introduction and I did pretty well with it and my team did decide my topic so they are the ones who said it,but it really was worth it because my topic did have to do with EDUCATION,so that makes a lot of sense to me.Those are my thoughts of my team progress and I hope we do better with the talking and the drama!

The Snow In Tuesday

The thing that happened in Tuesday was that it was snowing!We saw clearly the snow outside like in Math.Dr.Cantu said that if we behaved well,Ms.Penticuff will let us go outside and let us see the snow.At first,we were quiet,but then when some boys were disturbing an other class,Ms.Penticuff said that we were going back because it was unacceptable.When we saw it was like an experience because now I know how the snow looks like and how it feels and that it's clear like a crystal.The thing that surprised me was that,when it was Christmas it didn't snow at all,but when it was Tuesday the February 23,2010 it was really snowing who would've thought that it can snow on February!Well,when it started to get worse then the principal thought that it can be best if we go home and have a good break!Well,we got early off school we got off like probably around 12:00.Then we had to call our parents to pick us up and I was really happy because we got to go home early at 12:00.When my mom came,she was really happy too because,I can stay at home and watch the snow how it falls.When I got home,I immediately went outside and played in the snow although it was slippery and I felled down,I still went on and played more and then that was it because it was cold outside and then I got to drink hot cocoa.

Our Game Prototype

I feel that we need to work more on getting them to concentrate them,since I am Team Captain and I have to keep track of them to not get too distracted with the others talking and talking,but I do feel that I seem to be working with them really hard and too well.The reason that I feel like that is because,our team is really,like, they get ideas and they help me think more and that makes my grade go up because I don't have details,and thanks to them,I get good grades in Technology.When we re-presented our games I felt like,we had done better than the other time that we presented them with no clue and no idea what was going on,but when we re-presented our presentation,I felt that we had followed Ms.Miller's directions,the only thing that I didn't like at all is that,our voices were to low we had to work on them,and that we didn't include our goal on what is it that our game is going to teach.It did help me with additional time and instruction because Ms.Miller gave to Team Captain's a page that we had to work on and it included what are our team names,our graphics design are they NEATLY drawn what is our Math Objective and all that stuff that has to do with our game prototype.I think that was the thing that helped me the most because at first,Ms.Miller didn't gave us instruction on what to do,but now that she gave us instruction,our presentation and game went pretty well!One of my frustrations that I have is my team because I really have a hard time getting them to concentrate and to not get too distracted with the others because since this is the six weeks for today,she will take of points of us if we are not working properly and our behavior is not acceptable to her,so that's why I have a difficult time with my team mates.My most triumph moment is when we presented our game really awesome because we really did our best and we really got rid of it,and me and my team were so proud that we didn't do good we did great on our presentations!That's how my Team is and how did it go with our game presentation's on Friday.

My Team,My Game

My role is to be the Team Captain and it requires to keep people working and don't get distracted by the other because some people don't like to be distracted and they are working hard to get their game done,so that's what my role is and what Team Captain's do.I'm not sure if I'm good at this job because I really work hard to get the work that Ms.Miller gives us to get it done so we wont have after school and it's also good to work on it and finish it a school because,you will get a good grade on it if you finish it that day,so when if you see on your report card that you got a 20 for not finishing it the same day,it's probably because you were distracted and you decided to not do the work.I really like it because I'm doing the best I can,so my team wont get a 0 on their work.We didn't really have any of disagreements because we all chose a role and everyone seemed to agree with it.Well,Maely is-Secretary Chris O. is -Updates the stuff Chris F. is-Expert on Flash Erik is-Blogger we really resolved them that quickly because before Ms.Miller gave us her instruction we had already made positions.I'm looking forward on finishing my game because I really want to see and play with it when we had finished it and my team too and we are all really excited about the game that we are creating together.The inspiration of my game is that I'm looking forward to my game because our topic is Teen Pregnancy and it's an issue in communities and that's why we decided to choose my topic it is an issue that has to do with Education,so that's why I have inspiration for our game.We are not going to give up on our game because others will play and learn from it.We are waiting for that day to come when our game is finished so others can play it,and enjoy it!

Paper Prototype

I think that the paper prototype section was really fun doing because it was really showing if you payed attention what the teacher had asked you.It is also important because it shows how your game is going to look like.I didn't find it difficult because our team had the ideas how our game is going to look like,but the thing that was really difficult was the part where you had to read it because I was really trembling during the presentation because we hadn't practice it because my team and I we were still working on our presentations and it was hard for us to read it because our team were working on the coloring instead of how our presentation is going to go,but since we finished the coloring stuff,the time was up and we had to do the best that we could,so we can get a good grade and so it could go perfect.The only thing that we had to focus on more is to,work more with the words,but everything went really great.Now I know the importance of the paper prototype in reference to our game design because that is the most important thing in Technology and I think if we do our game the right way and we try our best,we will show other people what are the main causes of that social issue.Well it's not really the first time working in group,but it's the first time that me and a group are working,but working in a game together like a project that's important for our grade.I think it is a really good way to work because if we had done it by ourselves,then our game wont be finished at the end of the semester and wont be that creative.What I like of my team is that they are really creative and they have good ideas for us to know them so we can put them in our game.The thing that I don't like about my team is that they talk too much than to do work and they go away with their other friends,so in other words they need to focus more and less of the talking.I think that in the end of the year we will make good progress because we are really focusing more on our games and I think that it will count as a good grade because I think that the other people will like playing our games that we are doing for the rest of the year and I think that if our games will go well,our grades will go high.Me and my team are looking forward to our game,so that our game will be awesome like the other games!

My Awesome Blog

My thoughts of Globaloria are like it's awesome in there because we are always getting into MyGlife,we are Blogging,and we get to do stuff that is cool,and not only that,I'm looking forward to our game that we and my team are working on.We are working with the Objective 6 and our game is going to be about Teen Pregnancy because it does have to do with the community because you know that some people want to have relationships with each other and they are in a dangerous risk because when you have relationships,then comes the part where the women get pregnant at an early age and when they get pregnant they do not only their mate goes away,but they drop-off school and they don't get the education that they need.That's why me and my team are doing teen pregnancy because we really think that people will learn from it for not to them make the same mistakes.I really enjoy this class because we are really being persistent because we wont give up on our games or any of our classes,but our game is the most important thing in Globaloria.

What I have learned in Globaloria is,well first of all at the beginning of the semester we learned how to get a Gmail account,how to make a Blogger,how to get into MyGlife.Well at first,we learned how to send messages into Gmail,we learned how to update our stuff at MyGlife,and how to do excellent Blogs at Blogger.Most of all,we learned how to get in Flash and how it works and how our game is going to look like.Now we know more than ever like,we know about the how to move the carrot and add the bunny and all that stuff.

I like to Blog because I really think that teachers look at them and that shows them how our blogs can be like that we are expressing ourselves and how is it going with our classes and it is also required because that really is a grade.Some of the students are getting much better on Blogging because they have improved that they actually know how to Blog and I'm getting better on Blogging too because last year I really liked to Blog,but not that much like right now!It helps me more on what do I have to write for the others to understand it and how is my future going to be because in couple of years I will go to college and then graduate and have a good career!I helps my mind be working,so that when I go to a different class I wouldn't be that bored and all that tired.

We are working on our games like putting ideas and describing it to the teacher and to the others.Our game is based on our Objective that we are working on and for our game to work we have to put Math into it,for example,my Math Objective is number 6,so that means that I have to put Math that has to do with the Objective 6.My team is focusing more on how our game is going to be like and besides that our team better start to focus more and more on our game and less of the talking with the other students.Most of the time they are really helping us when we need their help.I really like my team because they have more creativity than me and they could help us create our game so that our game will be perfect like the others!The better we work on our games more often the better is going to look like from the others!It's really awesome working on our games because we get to show to the other people to not make the same mistakes that the other people do.

I'm looking forward to learn more about FLASH because that's a really cool website to go and that's a way to learn more about it.Other people had gone to it because that's an awesome website and they could get the information that they need.Since we are working more on our games I think that we can go to FLASH when we have free time and we can use it a home or anywhere.Also what are the other people going to say when they play the game well I think that they are going to say "This game is so awesome that I'm going to play it again!" That's what I hope when they play our game.

My game concept is,Education/Teen Pregnancy.Our game ideas are really coming together because we are really stepping on it than any other time I'm really excited because that's the first time in my life that me and my other team make a video game!I really like my game idea because that is a really big social issue because you know that these days some people want to have relationships together and have sex and when they do that: THEY GET PREGNANT AT AN EARLY AGE!That is the worst thing that can happen to a woman because they don't get to get the education that they need to go to college they wont graduate,and wont have a good career!That's why I think that people should stop with the relationships and start acting the age that they have and get married when they have a good career!I think that me and my team are making the best and that our game will be perfect like the others!

What I thought of the MINI GAME WEBEX

The day that we started the MINI GAME WEBEX,I thought that it was going to be pretty easy,but when we got to the MINI GAME WEBEX,it was really hard to follow because some of the students were talking and they were playing around and that made it hard for me to follow when she was explaining how to do it.The Webex was really helpful because that shows how much we need to pay attention when something is explained and that can affect us with our Technology grade because if we don't listen what she says or we are doing it wrong,then that could affect our grade and that could cause it with a B or a C and we really want to raise it up,so we can get the A and B honor roll and then we will go where we could have fun and have good food.Although Maredith's voice wasn't that loud I got some of the information that I needed for me to understand the MINI GAME WEBEX.I think that with the FLASH I did pretty well because the information that I got was the important thing.I was really getting used to with the codes,but some of them are really hard to find in the WIKI I didn't understand the last part of the game,but I have to read it again,so I can get the idea of what is it that it's talking about.I really get the idea of the other codes because they are easy to understand.I think that the most important things in the game are:To put the codes in.I really feel that I really get it more and more when I practice with it or when we go to it.

How I feel about FLASH

I feel that FLASH is really good practice and I do like that we are working more in Flash because we used to have free time,but we are starting to work more than to play games.We are actually going back to the steps if we understand how it works if we memorized it.It's going pretty well,I mean the class is really far from the steps and it seems that some of it we really did memorized it.Flash is a really good website because you can practice on how your game is going to look like and that can help you with your game by doing different things with it.Though that some people are having a little trouble working with the steps they still get the idea a little bit.Although the steps are easy to follow and it's nothing to be stressing about.It really makes me feel proud of myself because I haven't worked in Flash because when I first saw Flash,I didn't even know what to do,but now that I know more about Flash,I'm not that confused no more.If we were to do our game without Flash our game will never work and we wont know how it is used or our game wont make any sense because we didn't use the Flash,but since we did use it,we know more and more how our game will be like.The thing that I don't like about Flash is,to put all those codes for our carrot and our bunny to move,but if you do that,it will make more sense and you wont struggle with your bunny and carrot.I think that Flash is the best website for students to work with!

My game idea

Well,my social issue is Education,my game topic is Teen Pregnancy,and my Math Objective is 6.Well,since I'm doing Teen Pregnancy,my goal in the game is to,not to get the other people to be a teen parent at an early age.There's going to be like problems that have to do with the Objective number 6 and you know that Objective 6 is about the processes that you will have to choose like multiplication,division,subtraction,or addition.There's going to be your character and your friends that will have to help you like put signs and give them to the other people.The mission is basically preventing Teen Pregnancy because you know that some people get pregnant at an early age,well,my game is preventing Teen Pregnancy,so the others don't get pregnant at an early age.They should play my game because if you play it then you might not be a teen parent and you know the consequences being a teen parent because if you get to be one,then you and the other mate that you have,will have to take care of that child.That's why I want them to play my game,so they could know the consequences being a teen parent at an early age.I want the players to learn the purpose of the game which is what are the consequences for being a teen parent and to not get in the way with Teen Pregnancy because when you get pregnant at that early age you can't go to college and finish school and you wont have a career that you would love to have,so that's what I want the players to learn.I chose this topic because Teen Pregnancy does have to do with Education you know that some students have to drop school because they are now going to take care of that child for the mate to not do it all by herself or himself.It will also you show you why don't get pregnant at an early age cause you wont finish your Education in school,so it's just basically showing you the consequences of not to get pregnant at an early age.
